Learning and dressing for your body type or shape is not only essential for developing your personal style, but also to fall in love with your shape as when you dress to enhance your best features, you focus on those features and in turn feel better about yourself as you look good and feel great!
Once you start to customise your wardrobe and personal style to suit your body type, you’ll be on your way “falling in love with your body and achieving a personal style that’s authentic and inline with who you are and how you would like to be perceived. Remember our personal style is a form of non-verbal communication.
So embrace your gorgeous curves and figure and allow yourself to show off your natural silhouette this will result in more confidence as you become comfortable with how your wardrobe fits suits your shape, personality and lifestyle.
The first step is knowing what your body type is and how to dress for your shape. There are many different body types so just to keep things simple let’s take a look at a common female body type the triangle sometimes referred to as the pear with a classic approach to her look.
Since this body shape is wider at the bottom, the main thing to remember is to draw the attention upwards to the face, and balance out the hips.
The clothing styles and colour co-ordination selected will allow for attracting attention high on your body, expand and highlight above your waist, drawing attention to your small waist, well minimise below your waist with dark colours, smooth texture and vertical details.
Those were my style tips of the week and I hope you’ll learn to love and dress for your shape.
